We dispense medicines and appliances on NHS and private prescriptions. Patients are provided with information and counselling on the correct use of their medication. A computerised record of prescription medication is kept in confidence and used to assess potential interactions or side effects, both for prescribed medication and sales of non-prescription products.
Pregnancy Testing Service:
A pregnancy testing service is available or home testing kits can be purchased. The pharmacist will also advise on fertility testing.
Patient medication records/ drug interaction:
Our modern computer allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. It automatically alerts us to any problems which may arise when new medicines are prescribed and allows us to counter prescribe with full assurances on efficiency and safety.
Repeat Prescriptions:
We operate a repeat prescription collection service. Please ask for details.
Delivery Service:
We can deliver dispensed prescriptions to housebound patients. Please ask for details.
Blood Pressure Monitoring:
Please ask if you require your blood pressure taking. Equipment is also available for purchase.
Cholesterol Checks:
Please book an appointment if you would like your cholesterol checked.
Diabetes Screening:
If you would like your blood sugar measured, please come and talk to our trained staff in store.
MUR:
If you have any questions about any of the medicines that you are taking, please come and talk to our experienced pharmacists for advice.
Disposal of unwanted medicines:
We will dispose safely of patient's unwanted medication
Promotion of healthy lifestyles:
We provide opportunistic one to one advice on healthy lifestyle topics such as smoking cessation and healthy eating. We also support the health promotion campaigns organised by the Local Health Board.
Signposting:
We will signpost or refer patients to other health professionals or organisations, if further support, advice or treatment is required that cannot be offered from the pharmacy.
Support for self-care:
We offer a wide range of non-prescription medicines for the treatment of minor ailments and pharmacy staff are available to provide advice and information.
Support for people with disabilities:
Our pharmacy has been refitted to allow easy and full access to all our services in line with the Disability Discrimination Act. Various compliance devices and aids are also available.
Clinical Governance:
Our pharmacy is committed to continually improving our services through the application of clinical governance. We were one of the first pharmacies in the UK to write and adopt Standard Operating Procedures for our professional services.
Medicine Containers:
All tablets and capsules are supplied in chid resistant containers unless you request us not to. Please remember KEEP ALL MEDICINES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Your pharmacist will advise you on safe storage of all medicines.
Some people may require special containers to enable them to take their medicines regularly and accurately. These can be obtained on request.
Stoma/ Incontinence Supplies:
We can supply from stock or quickly obtain a comprehensive range of these products including pads, mattress covers, sheets, etc and the pharmacist will offer you confidential advice in any of these areas.
Residential and nursing care homes:
We can provide full pharmaceutical service to all homes.
This includes advice on use, storage and disposal of medicines, training of care staff and delivery arrangements.
Surgery Equipment:
We can supply a comprehensive range of equipment for use by doctors, nurses, and midwives. Please ask for our catalogue.
Healthcare aids for the elderly and disabled:
We can supply from stock or quickly obtain a wide variety of products such as wheelchairs, commodes, anti pressure products, toilet, kitchen and eating aids.
First aid supplies:
We carry a wide range of products for domestic use but can also meet requirements for offices, shops, and factories.
Chiropody:
Your pharmacist can advise on minor complaints and recommend suitable products from our foot care range.
Hosiery:
We can supply stockings ordered by your doctor and also many other items not available on the NHS such as support tights. We also offer a measuring and fitting service.
Holiday check list:
We provide a list of things you may need for your holiday. These include sun creams, anti-malarial treatments, and remedies for upset stomachs and diarrhoea. Please ask the pharmacist for advice.

Healthcare education and information leaflets are always available.
Health Advice:
The pharmacist is available for advice on all medicines and minor aliments, in private, if required.
Counter Medicines:
We keep a wide range of well known counter medicines and vitamins, minerals and tonics. The pharmacist is available for advice on all diet supplements.
